What is a worldwide limousine directory that actually books the ride?

LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com is a directory of vetted, licensed and commercially insured chauffeur operators in cities, airports, ports and stations across six regions. Our 24/7 desk books, confirms and invoices every ride, so you deal with one team wherever you travel.

Most directories hand you a list and leave you to sort it out. You call three operators, compare vague promises and hope the one you pick shows up. We do the opposite. The directory is the supply side: licensed operators who have passed our vetting. The desk is the service side: one booking, one confirmation, one invoice and one point of contact around the clock.

You can browse the worldwide directory by region, by city, by airport, by FBO, by cruise port or by train station, and you can use the online booker at the top of this page without browsing at all. Enter the pickup, the destination, the date and the vehicle, and the booker shows the exact fixed fare before you confirm.

Price & book your ride

Limousine service worldwide for corporations, celebrities and HNWI

Three groups of clients make up most of what the desk handles, and each one needs something slightly different from a ride.

Chauffeur opening the rear door

Corporations need schedules that hold, receipts that reconcile and a single account across every office. Our corporate car service runs on monthly invoicing, with bookings placed by travel managers and assistants for executives who are in a different city every week.

Celebrities, talent and public figures need discretion before anything else. Our VIP and celebrity chauffeur service supports alias bookings, signed non-disclosure agreements on request, and chauffeurs who do not photograph clients or post about trips.

High-net-worth individuals and family offices need continuity and privacy: the same standard of vehicle and conduct in every city, with ground transport that connects cleanly to private aviation, yachts and residences. See our page for the HNWI and family office chauffeur service.

We are a chauffeur service, not a security company. We do not supply armed drivers or bodyguards. Where a client travels with a protection team, our chauffeurs work alongside it and follow the team's lead on routing and timing.

Local trips, long-distance runs and everything in between

A chauffeur ride is rarely only an airport transfer. The desk books the whole range of ground transport, and the same vetted network covers all of it.

  • Airport transfers with flight tracking on every pickup, covered in detail on our airport car service page.
  • Hourly and as-directed service for meetings, shopping days and multi-stop schedules.
  • City-to-city and long-distance runs. Toronto to Ottawa, for example, is about 450 km (280 mi) and usually takes four and a half to five hours by road. Our long-distance car service page explains when a private car beats the train or a flight, and when it does not.
  • Events, conferences and group moves, from a single gala arrival to a multi-hotel congress.
  • Private tours with a driver, built around the places in our attraction guides.

If the train or a scheduled flight is the better choice for a trip, we will say so. A booking that fits the journey is better for you and for the operator who delivers it.

Experienced chauffeurs and late-model, fully maintained vehicles

Vehicles and drivers are where chauffeur services succeed or fail, so the vetting standard is specific.

Chauffeurs are experienced professionals who hold the licence their city requires for commercial passenger transport. Operators carry commercial insurance. Vehicles are late-model, fully maintained and inspected: no more than four model years old, with Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach allowed up to seven.

The fleet page lists the vehicle classes you can book:

  • Executive Sedan, such as a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar, for up to three passengers.
  • First Class Sedan, such as a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series or similar, for up to three passengers.
  • Luxury SUV, such as a Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban or similar, for up to six passengers.
  • Executive Sprinter for groups of up to twelve to fourteen.
  • Stretch limousine, mini-coach and coach on request, and Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley on request, with availability confirmed at booking.

The exact model is confirmed when you book, and in Europe and Asia the classes are served with Mercedes-Benz E-Class, S-Class and V-Class vehicles. Water and phone chargers are in most vehicles. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking.

Global coverage: airports, FBOs, cruise ports, stations, events and attractions

The directory is organized around the places where a ride begins and ends. Each of these hubs leads to individual pages with the practical detail a chauffeur works from.

A cruise ship in port
A cruise ship in port
  • Airports: international and domestic terminals, customs timing, pickup procedure and how long arrivals really take.
  • Private aviation and FBOs: fixed-base operators and business-aviation terminals, where pickup rules differ from the main terminal.
  • Cruise ports: embarkation and disembarkation logistics, luggage and timing.
  • Train stations: meeting points at the major stations and what to expect after a delayed arrival.
  • Events: major sporting, film, art and cultural events, where lead time matters.
  • Conferences: trade shows and congresses, for delegates, speakers and exhibitors.
  • Attractions: visitor guides to landmarks, written for people arriving by private car.

For regional overviews, start with North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean or Africa.

How one booking works across the world

The process is the same in every city, which is the point.

  1. Request. Use the online booker or contact the desk. Give the pickup, destination, date, time, passenger count and bags. For airport pickups, add the flight number.
  2. Fixed fare. The booker shows the fare for those exact addresses and that vehicle before you confirm. There is no price list to decode. Every price question is answered by the booker.
  3. Assignment. The desk assigns a vetted, licensed operator in the city and confirms the booking to you in writing.
  4. Delivery. The local chauffeur performs the ride. On airport pickups the chauffeur tracks your flight, so a late landing moves the pickup time automatically.
  5. Invoice. You receive one invoice from us, whichever operator drove.

Waiting time is built in. On international arrivals we include 60 minutes of free waiting after landing, on domestic arrivals 30 minutes, and on other pickups 15 minutes. A name-board meet and greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on, with an alias on the board if you prefer your name to stay private. Our meet and greet page explains how it works.

Honest guidance on when a private car is the right choice

A private chauffeur is not always the fastest or the lowest-cost way to move. The table below compares the options for a typical airport-to-city trip in a major metropolis.

OptionTypical journeyCost noteBest for
Metro or express railOften the fastest at peak hoursLowestSolo travelers with light luggage and a rail link at both ends
TaxiDoor to door, subject to traffic and queuesMeteredA single traveler who wants no booking
RideshareDoor to door, subject to traffic and pickup-zone walksSurge-priced at peak timesShort, informal trips
Shared shuttleSlower, with several stopsLowBudget-minded solo travelers
Private chauffeurDoor to door, no queue, waiting time includedFixed fare via the bookerFamilies, groups, heavy luggage, early or late flights, business travel, clients you want to impress

If a fast train runs from the airport to your hotel and you are traveling alone with one bag, take the train. If you are arriving with family after a long-haul flight, late at night, with a meeting in the morning, a chauffeur earns the booking.

Tourist offices, travel agents, DMCs and concierges

Official tourist offices, tourism boards, convention and visitor bureaus and visitor centres can book chauffeur services for their visitors with LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com through a trade account. We do not claim any office as a partner; the account is simply available to them.

A conference hall audience
A conference hall audience

Travel agents, destination management companies, tour operators, hotel concierges and private concierges use the same type of account to book on behalf of clients. The booking carries the guest's name, the confirmation can be issued for the client's file, and invoicing is settled with the trade account holder. Read more on our tourist offices page and the travel trade page.

Discretion, privacy and what we do not do

Discretion is part of the standard, not an extra. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips. Non-disclosure agreements are signed on request. Alias bookings are accepted, so a principal's name does not need to appear on a board or a manifest.

We do not promise alcohol on board. Local law applies, and some jurisdictions restrict it in commercial vehicles. We do not supply security personnel. Licensed tour guides are separate professionals: a chauffeur drives and can suggest stops, but where a site requires or recommends a licensed guide, we say so.

Cancellation policy

The policy is measured from the scheduled pickup time:

  • More than 72 hours' notice: no charge.
  • 72 hours or less: 10%.
  • 48 hours or less: 50%.
  • 24 hours or less, or a no-show: 100%.

Large events may carry a different deadline, which is stated on your confirmation.

Where to go next

If you are new here, read why book with us and about LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com. For a specific city, try New York, London or Dubai. For the service in general, see our chauffeur service, limo service and black car service pages. Operators who would like to be listed can start with join the directory.

Frequently asked questions

What is LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com?

It is a worldwide directory of vetted, licensed and commercially insured chauffeur operators, with a 24/7 booking desk. The desk books, confirms and invoices each ride, and a local operator delivers it.

Do you own the vehicles?

No. Each ride is delivered by a local operator from our directory. We do not own vehicles, garages or offices abroad. We book, confirm and invoice, and we remain your single point of contact.

How do I get a price?

Use the online booker. It shows the exact fixed fare for your addresses and vehicle before you confirm. We do not publish a price list, because the right fare depends on the route, the date and the vehicle.

Which cities and airports do you cover?

The directory covers cities, airports, private aviation terminals, cruise ports and train stations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Africa. Start at the directory to find your location.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

The chauffeur tracks your flight. Waiting time starts from landing: 60 minutes free on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic arrivals, and 15 minutes on other pickups.

Can I book for someone else, or under an alias?

Yes. Assistants, travel managers and agents book on behalf of travelers every day, and alias bookings are accepted so a principal's name stays off the board.

Can a travel agent, concierge or tourist office book through you?

Yes. Travel agents, DMCs, hotel concierges and tourist offices can book through a trade account. Contact the desk through the contact page to set one up.

What is your cancellation policy?

No charge for more than 72 hours' notice. Within 72 hours the charge is 10%, within 48 hours 50%, and within 24 hours or for a no-show 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events may carry a different deadline, stated on your confirmation. More answers are on our FAQ page.
