Who we are

LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com has two parts that work as one. The first is a 24/7 booking desk. The second is a worldwide directory of chauffeur operators who are licensed where they work, commercially insured and checked by us before they are listed.

That structure is deliberate. A single company cannot own good vehicles and good chauffeurs in every city on earth, and anyone who claims to is usually hiding a subcontractor chain. We say plainly how it works: the person who drives you is a professional from a local operator in our directory, and the desk that books and invoices the ride is ours. We do not own vehicles, garages or offices abroad, and we do not pretend to.

What you get from that arrangement is local knowledge on the ground and one accountable point of contact above it. The local chauffeur knows which terminal door is closed for roadworks this month and where the car can legally wait. The desk knows your booking, your preferences and your deadline, and answers the phone at any hour.

Why a directory with a desk, rather than a directory alone

A directory is useful when you already know what you want. A desk is useful when something goes wrong, or when the trip involves more than one city. We built both because corporate and private clients need both.

Consider a principal who lands in one country on Monday, takes a train on Wednesday and flies out of a third on Friday. Booking that through three separate operators means three confirmations, three invoices, three chances for a misunderstanding about the flight number and nobody to call when Wednesday's train is cancelled. Through our desk it is one conversation. The desk sets up each leg with a local operator, confirms them together and stays reachable for the whole itinerary.

The directory underneath that desk is organized the way travelers think: by region, by city, by airport, by private aviation terminal, by cruise port, by train station, and by the events, conferences and attractions that draw people to a place.

The vetting standard

Not every operator who asks to be listed is accepted. Before a company joins the directory we look for the following, and we keep looking after it joins.

  • A valid commercial licence for passenger transport in the city or country where it operates. A hobby limousine or an unlicensed private car does not qualify.
  • Commercial insurance that covers paying passengers, not a private motor policy.
  • Late-model, well-maintained vehicles. Vehicles may be no more than four model years old, with Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach allowed up to seven. Every vehicle is fully maintained and inspected.
  • Experienced, background-checked chauffeurs who are professionals, not occasional drivers.
  • Reliable communication. Operators must confirm assignments quickly and answer the desk at short notice.

Operators who want to be considered can read the standard in full on the join the directory page. If an operator's vehicles age out, its licence lapses or complaints accumulate, it is removed from the directory and we reassign its bookings.

We do not publish ratings, rankings or awards, because we would rather show a standard than a score. Nothing on this site claims a client list, a fleet size or an award, and none ever will unless it can be documented.

Who we serve

Most bookings come from four kinds of client, and the desk is organized around them.

Corporations and their travel managers. Companies book through corporate accounts with monthly invoicing, one invoice for many travelers and many cities. Assistants and travel managers place bookings on behalf of executives, visitors and delegates. See our corporate car service page.

Celebrities, talent and public figures. For clients whose movements are news, the standard is quiet competence. Bookings can be placed under an alias, a non-disclosure agreement is signed on request, and chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips. See VIP and celebrity chauffeur service.

High-net-worth individuals and family offices. The needs here are continuity and privacy: the same standard of vehicle and conduct in every city, with children and nannies looked after, and clean hand-offs between residences, yachts and private aircraft. See HNWI and family office chauffeur.

Travel professionals. Travel agents, destination management companies, tour operators, hotel concierges and private concierges use trade accounts to book for guests. Official tourist offices, tourism boards, convention and visitor bureaus and visitor centres can also book chauffeur services for their visitors with LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com through a trade account. See travel trade and tourist offices.

Discretion is a working rule

Discretion at our desk is not a marketing line. It shapes how bookings are handled.

  • Chauffeurs do not photograph clients, their luggage or their destinations, and they do not post about trips, even in general terms.
  • Bookings can be placed under an alias, and a name-board meet and greet inside arrivals can carry the alias rather than the traveler's real name.
  • Non-disclosure agreements are signed on request, before the trip rather than after it.
  • Booking details are shared only with the operator assigned to perform the ride, and only the details needed to do it. Our privacy policy explains this in full.

We are a chauffeur service, not a security company. We do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards. Where a client travels with a security team, our chauffeurs work alongside it and follow its direction on routes, timing and drop-off points.

How a booking flows

Every booking, in every city, follows the same path.

  1. You request a ride. Use the online booker or contact the desk. Provide the pickup address or terminal, the destination, the date and time, the number of passengers and bags, and the flight number for airport pickups.
  2. You see a fixed fare. The booker quotes the exact fare for those addresses and your chosen vehicle before you confirm. We do not publish a price list, because a fare belongs to a specific route, date and vehicle.
  3. The desk assigns an operator. We choose a vetted, licensed operator from the directory in the relevant city and confirm the booking to you in writing.
  4. The chauffeur delivers the ride. For airport pickups the chauffeur tracks the flight. Waiting time is included: 60 minutes free after landing on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic arrivals and 15 minutes on other pickups.
  5. You receive one invoice. Whichever operator drove, the invoice comes from us. Corporate accounts receive monthly invoicing.

Throughout, the desk stays reachable. If a flight is cancelled, a meeting moves or a pickup point changes, you speak to the same team that took the booking.

The vehicles

Vehicles are offered in classes, and the exact model is confirmed at booking. In North America a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or Cadillac sedan serves the Executive Sedan class, and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series serves First Class Sedan. A Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon Denali or similar serves as a Luxury SUV for up to six passengers, and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter seats groups of twelve to fourteen. Stretch limousines, mini-coaches and coaches are available on request, as are Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley, with availability confirmed at booking.

In Europe and Asia the same classes are served with Mercedes-Benz E-Class, S-Class and V-Class vehicles. Water and phone chargers are in most vehicles, and child, toddler and booster seats are available on request. Browse the options on the fleet page.

What we promise and what we do not

We promise a fixed fare quoted before you pay, a written confirmation, a vetted and licensed operator, a late-model vehicle, flight tracking on airport pickups, and a reachable desk at any hour.

We do not promise things we cannot control. We cannot guarantee a stretch of road will be clear, and we do not promise alcohol on board, because local law applies. We do not offer tour-guide services: licensed guides are separate professionals, and where a site such as a major monument requires or recommends one, we tell you.

Our cancellation terms are simple and measured from the scheduled pickup time. There is no charge with more than 72 hours' notice. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less or for a no-show it is 100%. Large events may carry a different deadline, which will be stated on your confirmation. The full wording is in our terms.

Where to start

If you know where you are going, choose a region or open the page for your city or airport. If you know what you need, read about our chauffeur service, airport car service or private driver service. If you would rather ask, the FAQ answers the common questions and the contact page puts you in touch with the desk. For an explanation of why clients choose us, see why book with us.

Frequently asked questions

Where is LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com based?

Our booking desk operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The chauffeurs who drive the rides are local operators in the destination city.

Who actually drives me?

A vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur operator from our directory. The desk books the ride and confirms it to you in writing, and remains your point of contact until you are dropped off.

Do you have vehicles and offices in every city?

No. We do not own vehicles, garages or offices abroad. We run the desk and the directory. The vehicles belong to the local operators we have vetted.

How do you vet the operators in your directory?

We check for a valid commercial licence, commercial insurance, experienced and background-checked chauffeurs, and late-model vehicles no more than four model years old (seven for Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach). Read the standard on the join the directory page.

Do you publish awards, ratings or client lists?

No. We do not publish awards, rankings or client names, and chauffeurs do not discuss who they have driven.

Can my company set up an account?

Yes. Corporate accounts come with monthly invoicing, and trade accounts are available for travel agents, DMCs, hotel concierges and tourist offices. Reach the desk through the contact page.
