The NAB Show week from a dispatcher's point of view

The NAB Show is a working show. People arrive with a list of meetings, a schedule built around demos, and often a crew or a client delegation travelling with them. The ground transportation problem is therefore less about sightseeing and more about arriving on time, repeatedly, across a campus and a Strip that are both crowded.

LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com books NAB Show car service in Las Vegas through its 24/7 desk. Each ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur operator from our worldwide directory, confirmed in writing and invoiced by the desk. You get one booking, one confirmation, one invoice and one point of contact whether you need a single airport transfer or a week of daily runs.

For fixed appointments, a pre-booked chauffeur gives the most reliable timing between Harry Reid airport, Strip hotels and the Convention Center, which is about 8 km (5 mi) from the terminals. For flexible days, NAB's complimentary shuttles and the Monorail can be good options.

Most attendees combine methods. Take the shuttle on a relaxed morning, hold a car for the day with the client dinner, and book a fixed pickup for the airport run on departure day. The sections below show where each approach pays off.

NAB Show 2027 dates and venue

The official NAB Show site lists the 2027 show for 3 to 7 April 2027, with the exhibit floor open 4 to 7 April, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, 3150 Paradise Road. NAB's exhibitor page places the 2027 show in the West, Central and North Halls. Because exhibits open on a Sunday, many delegates fly in on Friday and Saturday, so the first airport rush comes before the opening bell.

That timing shapes bookings. Conference programming begins on 3 April, a day before the floor opens, and the closing day on Wednesday 7 April produces a departure wave in the afternoon and into Thursday. These are the two busiest windows for airport pickups, and the ones to book first.

From Harry Reid Airport to the Convention Center

The airport sits south of the Strip and the Convention Center sits east of it, so most routes cross the main resort corridor or skirt it by freeway. A pre-booked chauffeur chooses between them based on the hour.

RouteDistanceTypical drive time
Harry Reid Airport to Convention Center (3150 Paradise Rd)about 8 km (5 mi)10 to 25 minutes
Airport to central Strip hotelsabout 8 km (5 mi)10 to 25 minutes
Convention Center to central Strip hotelsabout 5 to 6 km (3 to 4 mi)15 to 30 minutes
Convention Center to Fremont Street, downtownabout 9 km (6 mi)15 to 30 minutes
Airport to Summerlinabout 25 to 30 km (16 to 19 mi)25 to 45 minutes
Airport to Hendersonabout 20 to 25 km (12 to 16 mi)20 to 40 minutes

The times are for ordinary conditions. Show mornings, the hour after the floor closes and any evening with a stadium or arena event add to them, and the booking desk gives you the buffer for your specific time. More on arrivals, including the terminals, is on the Harry Reid International airport page.

Arriving: flight tracking, waiting time and meet-and-greet

Flight tracking is included on every airport pickup, so the chauffeur follows your actual landing time, not the scheduled one. Free waiting time is 60 minutes after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic arrivals. You can add a name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals; on request the board carries an alias, which suits executives who prefer not to be named in a crowded hall.

For comparison, the airport's own taxi and ride share page shows taxis outside baggage claim at Terminal 1 (east side, near doors 1 to 4) and on Level Zero near door 52 at Terminal 3, with ride share in the parking garage at both terminals. During a major show those taxi lines and garage pickups lengthen, which is the point at which a prearranged car stops being a luxury and starts being the time-saving choice. The meet and greet service page describes the add-on in detail.

Choosing the right vehicle for a media delegation

  • Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6 or Lyriq or similar): up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags. A good fit for a single traveler with a laptop bag and a suitcase.
  • First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar): up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags. For executives and talent who want the rear seat to be an office.
  • Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar): up to 6 passengers and 5 to 6 large bags. The practical choice for a producer with a small team and equipment cases.
  • Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter): up to 12 to 14 passengers and 12 bags, for a crew or a larger delegation.

All classes are "or similar" and the exact model is confirmed at booking. On request we can also quote a mini-coach or coach, or a Maybach, Rolls-Royce or Bentley, each subject to availability confirmed at booking. Expect water and phone chargers in most vehicles, with child, toddler and booster seats on request. Details are on the fleet page.

Moving equipment: what a chauffeur can and cannot carry

A chauffeur vehicle is made for people and their luggage. Camera cases, a laptop bag with spare batteries or a rolled-up banner fit in the luggage space of the right class if you tell us the count and size when booking. Booth materials, crates and show freight move through the show's official service contractors, not through a passenger car. If you are unsure which category your gear falls into, ask the desk before the day of travel and the operator will say whether the vehicle can take it.

How the curbs work at the Convention Center

The convention center campus, owned and operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, is large and the passenger drop-off points are specific. The CES transportation page published by the Consumer Technology Association, which uses the same venue in January, states that passenger pickup and drop-off at the LVCC is allowed only at the S2, C5 and West Hall entrances, that drivers must stay with their vehicles, and that standing or parking is not allowed. NAB publishes its own travel information for April, so check nabshow.com for the final arrangements for your hall. Your chauffeur adapts to whatever is in force, drops you at the entrance nearest your hall, and waits nearby until you message.

A luxury hotel lobby
A luxury hotel lobby

Inside the campus, an internal Loop and walkways link the halls, so the best drop-off point is the one closest to your first appointment, not necessarily the one nearest the hotel. When you book, tell the desk which hall or conference room you are heading for.

If your hotel is an official NAB shuttle stop and your schedule is relaxed, the shuttle is the lowest-cost route and a good one. A chauffeur is the better choice when your meetings are tight, you travel with colleagues, or you are heading to the airport after the closing session, when the Convention Center curb and the taxi line are at their busiest.

A two-day plan for a visiting network executive

Sunday, opening day. Pickup at Harry Reid on arrival, with the driver tracking the flight. Drop-off at the hotel, then a transfer to the Convention Center for the afternoon and an early dinner within 10 to 15 minutes of the hotel. The chauffeur is on hourly standby between the two.

Monday. A 7:45 pickup for a breakfast meeting at a Strip resort, then a drive of about 5 to 6 km (3 to 4 mi) to the Convention Center for a panel. At midday, a lunch with a vendor, with the car held nearby. An evening reception off the Strip, perhaps in Summerlin, about 25 to 30 km (16 to 19 mi), 30 to 45 minutes. A late return when ride-hail queues are longest.

An hourly chauffeur service booking suits this pattern: the vehicle stays with you and you pay for the time you book, at the fixed fare quoted in advance. For multi-city tours that include other media events, the roadshow car service page explains how repeated bookings are handled.

After hours: the Strip, Sphere and Fremont Street

The broadcast crowd tends to take over restaurants and lounges along the Strip, and the Las Vegas Strip guide explains where cars can drop off at the larger resorts. The Sphere guide covers the event-night traffic around the venue, while the Fremont Street Experience is the usual choice for a group wanting a different part of town, about 13 km (8 mi) from the airport. Ask for a driver for the day if you want a stop at Red Rock Canyon, about 40 km (25 mi) from the airport, 40 to 60 minutes each way.

Corporate accounts, privacy and security

Production companies, networks and agencies often book for multiple staff. A corporate account with monthly invoicing keeps all NAB Show rides on one statement, with trade accounts available for travel agents, DMCs and hotel concierges. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, NDAs are signed on request, and alias bookings are available, which is helpful when unreleased content or a pending deal is in play. We are a chauffeur service, not a security company. We do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards, and we work alongside a client's own security team. See the corporate car service page for how accounts work.

Booking checklist for NAB Show week

  1. Book the arrival and departure transfers first; they are the two peaks of the week.
  2. Send flight numbers early so tracking is in place, and update us if your flight changes.
  3. Tell the desk which hall or conference room is your first stop each day.
  4. Specify luggage count and any equipment cases so the right vehicle is assigned.
  5. Decide whether you want a name-board meet-and-greet in arrivals.
  6. Check the cancellation terms: more than 72 hours' notice is free of charge; 72 hours or less carries 10%; 48 hours or less 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events may carry a different deadline, which is stated on your confirmation.

Las Vegas hosts the CES transportation page in January and many other conferences throughout the year, listed on the conferences hub and in our conference transportation guide. Frequently asked questions

When is the NAB Show 2027?

NAB lists the 2027 Las Vegas show for 3 to 7 April 2027, with exhibits open 4 to 7 April, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Check nabshow.com for conference schedules and registration.

How far is the Las Vegas Convention Center from Harry Reid Airport?

The Convention Center is about 8 km (5 mi) from the airport terminals, normally 10 to 25 minutes. Show mornings and the end of each day take longer, so the chauffeur plans around the time of your trip.

Is there a NAB Show car service from the airport?

Yes. Book a chauffeur through the online booker, share your flight number and the driver tracks your landing. International arrivals get 60 minutes of free waiting, domestic arrivals 30 minutes.

Where can a private car drop me at the Convention Center?

Passenger drop-off is restricted to specific entrances. The CES rules for the same campus list S2, C5 and West Hall, and NAB publishes its own guidance for April. Tell the desk which hall you need and the chauffeur follows the arrangement in force.

Are limousines at the NAB Show licensed?

Trips within the United States use US-licensed operators, and in Las Vegas that means operators licensed in Nevada. The vehicles are late-model, fully maintained and inspected, and the drivers are experienced professionals.

Can you take a team of ten from the airport to the show?

Yes. An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 to 14 passengers and 12 bags, and the desk can add vehicles for larger groups. Group bookings can sit on a single corporate invoice.

What is the best way to leave on the last day?

Book a fixed pickup time for the airport. The closing day brings long taxi lines and a surge of ride-share requests, and a scheduled car removes the queue. Allow extra time for the roads around the Convention Center.

Do you offer a driver for the day around Las Vegas?

Yes. An hourly or full-day chauffeur can follow your meeting schedule, add a stop in Summerlin or downtown, or take a break at Red Rock Canyon. Tell the desk your hours and stops, and book a driver for the day.

How much does it cost?

The fare depends on pickup, destination, vehicle and time. The online booker shows an exact fixed fare for your addresses and vehicle before you confirm, so you know the total in advance.
