What does a Dallas limo service from LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com include?

A Dallas limo service booked here is a pre-arranged ride in a late-model sedan, SUV or Sprinter, driven by a licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur from our worldwide directory. Our 24/7 desk confirms the booking, tracks the flight and invoices once, with the fixed fare shown before you pay.

The metroplex stretches roughly 50 km (32 miles) from downtown Dallas to downtown Fort Worth, the airports sit well outside the core, and the stadiums, corporate campuses and hotels are scattered across several suburbs. A Dallas car service that is booked in advance, with a named driver and a flight number attached, takes most of that friction away.

LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com is a directory and booking desk, not a fleet owner. We match your trip with a vetted local chauffeur operator in Dallas, then handle the booking, the confirmation and the invoice ourselves. You deal with one desk, available 24 hours a day, whether the pickup is at DFW at midnight or a boardroom in Las Colinas at eight in the morning.

Dallas car service by airport: DFW, Love Field and the regional fields

The airport you use decides almost everything about the first and last hour of a Dallas trip, so book the right one.

Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) is the large one, roughly 29 km (18 miles) northwest of downtown Dallas and about 25 to 40 minutes by car outside the rush hours. It has five terminals, A through E, and the airport states that taxis wait on the lower level of each of them (see the DFW ground transportation page). A sixth terminal, Terminal F, is under construction with a first phase targeted for 2027, so expect construction-related curb changes and confirm your terminal with the desk before you land. See the full DFW airport car service page for terminal-by-terminal detail.

Dallas Love Field (DAL) is the close-in airport, about 10 km (6 miles) from downtown and normally 15 to 25 minutes away. It has no direct rail link: DART runs a Love Link bus between the airport and Inwood/Love Field station, which the DART Green and Orange lines serve. If you are carrying luggage or meeting a client on a deadline, a chauffeur waiting at arrivals is considerably simpler than a bus-and-train connection.

On international arrivals at DFW our chauffeur tracks your flight and waits up to 60 minutes after landing at no charge. Domestic arrivals, including every Love Field flight, carry 30 minutes of free waiting. A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on, with an alias on the board if you prefer privacy.

Private aviation: Addison, Love Field and the Fort Worth fields

Dallas is a major business-jet market, and the field you choose changes the drive. Addison Airport (ADS) calls itself the heart of the North Dallas Business District and has focused on business aviation since 1957, which puts it closest to the Tollway corridor, Plano, Frisco and the Galleria area. Love Field also handles general aviation and is the natural choice for downtown, Uptown and the Highland Park side of town. For Fort Worth meetings, Meacham and Alliance serve the western and northern edges of the metroplex.

Tell us the tail number or FBO name when you book. The chauffeur meets you at the ramp or the FBO door, not at a public terminal, and luggage goes straight from the aircraft to the vehicle. Our private aviation hub and the private jet car service page explain how ramp access and security are handled, and the same logic applies at Dallas fields.

DFW to downtown Dallas: how the options compare

Honest comparisons help, and in Dallas the lower-cost option is sometimes the right one.

OptionTypical time to Dallas coreCost noteBest for
DART Orange Line from Terminal AAbout an hour to downtown stops, plus the walk to the stationLowestLight luggage, flexible schedule, solo travelers
Taxi from the lower-level stand25 to 40 minutesMeteredSpontaneous trips with no booking
Rideshare25 to 45 minutesSurge-priced at peaksShort notice, one or two passengers
Rental car25 to 40 minutes plus counter and parking timePer-day plus parking and tollsMulti-day trips across the metroplex
Private chauffeur25 to 40 minutes, no waiting at the curbFixed fare via the bookerExecutives, families, groups, late flights, fixed schedules

If you are traveling alone with a carry-on to a hotel that sits beside a DART station, the train is a sensible and inexpensive choice. A chauffeur earns its place when you have luggage, a group, a meeting that starts within the hour, or a flight that lands late at night. DART's own page confirms the Orange Line stops at DFW Airport Terminal A Station near Gate A10, and the Silver Line stops at Terminal B.

Black car service around the districts

Dallas is a city of districts, and a good driver knows where the hotel drop-off is in each.

A black executive sedan
A black executive sedan
  • Downtown and the Arts District. The Dallas Museum of Art, the Winspear Opera House and the Meyerson Symphony Center sit close together, so evening drop-offs run on a short loop. Dealey Plaza is a few minutes away.
  • Uptown and Oak Lawn. Hotels, restaurants and Klyde Warren Park are a compact grid, around 4 km (2.5 miles) from downtown. Short hops are common here and traffic thickens on weekend nights.
  • Deep Ellum. Live music venues and late restaurants, about 3 km (2 miles) east of downtown.
  • Bishop Arts and Oak Cliff. Roughly 6 km (4 miles) southwest of downtown across the Trinity River, popular for dinner.
  • Design District, Harwood and Knox/Henderson. Showrooms, offices and dining that attract design-industry travelers.
  • Fair Park. About 5 km (3 miles) east of downtown and home to the State Fair of Texas, which usually runs from late September into October.

Visit Dallas lists all of these neighborhoods on its official visitor site, and the Visit Dallas guide is a useful place to check current openings before you finalize an itinerary.

Hotels, convention business and corporate travel

Dallas offers over 35,000 hotel rooms according to the city's visitor bureau, and corporate demand is heavy: the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center downtown, Hilton Anatole and Hyatt Regency Dallas are all regular points on a chauffeur's schedule. Corporate travelers around Las Colinas, Legacy in Plano and Frisco spend long stretches on the freeways, which makes the hourly booking format attractive.

Our corporate car service and executive chauffeur service pages describe how monthly invoicing works. In short, a corporate account gives your travel desk one invoice per month and named passenger profiles. Event and conference organizers can use conference transportation to coordinate shuttles for delegates arriving across DFW and Love Field in the same window.

Dealey Plaza and The Sixth Floor Museum by chauffeur

Dealey Plaza is in the West End of downtown Dallas, and The Sixth Floor Museum sits at 411 Elm Street. All tickets are timed-entry, and the museum recommends buying in advance online. At the time of writing the museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with last entry at 4:15 p.m. Check the official Sixth Floor Museum visitor page before you travel because hours change.

Stopping and parking are limited around Dealey Plaza, so the practical arrangement is a drop-off near the Elm Street entrance and a pickup agreed by message afterward. Allow 90 minutes to two hours for the museum itself. Our guide to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza covers timed entry, etiquette and a half-day itinerary combining the museum with the Arts District.

Rail, cruise and conference arrivals

Dallas Union Station, in downtown, handles DART light rail and the Trinity Railway Express, and also sees Amtrak's long-distance service. On request the chauffeur holds a name board at street level. For other cities, see our train station transfers hub.

A cruise ship in port
A cruise ship in port

Dallas has no cruise port. Passengers sailing from Galveston typically make the long run south, roughly 480 km (300 miles) and about 4.5 to 5 hours depending on Houston traffic, so a Sprinter or SUV with a luggage plan beats a series of shuttles. Our cruise transfers service and the Galveston cruise port page cover embarkation timing.

Cowboys games, concerts and trade shows put thousands of cars onto the same approaches within an hour. Ask the desk about event-day routing; large events may carry a different cancellation deadline, stated on the confirmation. See also our events hub and conferences hub.

Dallas to Fort Worth, Arlington and the Metroplex

The Metroplex is the point of a Dallas chauffeur. Typical runs from downtown Dallas:

  • Fort Worth (Stockyards, Cultural District): about 50 km (32 miles), 40 to 60 minutes.
  • AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field, Arlington: about 32 km (20 miles), 30 to 45 minutes on a quiet day and much longer after a game.
  • Plano and Legacy: around 30 km (19 miles) north, 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Frisco: about 45 km (28 miles) north, 40 to 60 minutes.
  • Las Colinas, Irving: about 20 km (12 miles) west, 20 to 35 minutes.

The North Texas Tollway Authority operates the Dallas North Tollway and the President George Bush Turnpike, among other toll roads. NTTA states that TollTag customers get the best value and non-TollTag ZipCash customers pay twice as much. Your chauffeur's vehicle will be equipped, and tolls are set out on the quote so there are no surprises at invoicing. See NTTA's toll information for the current structure.

Long-distance runs from Dallas

A chauffeured intercity transfer removes the rental-car and airport-hop equation altogether. Below are the main corridors with approximate distances. Times assume normal conditions and drive time can vary with traffic and weather.

For trips of this length we usually suggest an Executive Sedan for one or two travelers, a Luxury SUV for a family, and a Sprinter for groups. Cross-state work inside the United States uses US-licensed operators. For multi-stop days, the hourly chauffeur service format and the long-distance car service page explain how routes and waiting time are handled, with the fare confirmed in the online booker before you commit.

Matching the vehicle to the Dallas trip

Four classes cover most Dallas work. The Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6 or Lyriq, or similar) takes up to three passengers with two large and two cabin bags and is the default for one executive between DFW and a downtown tower. The First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar) carries the same load with more space for a guest of honor. For golf clubs, strollers or a family of five, the Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar) seats six with five or six large bags. The Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter) takes twelve to fourteen with twelve bags and is the right call for moving a team from Love Field to AT&T Stadium together.

Stretch limousines, mini-coaches and coaches can be arranged on request, and so can Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley, with availability confirmed when you book. Models are always "or similar", no more than four model years old (seven for Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach), fully maintained and inspected. Most carry water and phone chargers. The fleet page has photographs and specifications.

Discretion for executives, families and high-profile guests

Dallas hosts sports figures, entertainers, oil and finance executives and families moving between private jets and residences. Our chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, NDAs can be signed on request, and alias bookings are available. We are a chauffeur service, not a security company, so we do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards; we work alongside your own security team at the curb and on the route.

How booking works and what happens if plans change

Enter your pickup, destination, date and vehicle in the online booker. It shows the exact fare for those addresses and that vehicle before you confirm, so there is nothing to negotiate later. You receive one confirmation and one invoice, and your point of contact stays the same until the trip is complete.

Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup time. More than 72 hours' notice is free of charge; 72 hours or less carries 10 percent; 48 hours or less, 50 percent; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 percent. Large events may carry a different deadline, shown on your confirmation.

Travel agents, DMCs, hotel concierges and official tourist offices and convention and visitor bureaus can book chauffeur services for their visitors with LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com through a trade account. Start from the directory of North America to see other cities, or read the FAQ and about page for more on how the desk operates.

Frequently asked questions

How far is DFW Airport from downtown Dallas by car?

DFW is about 29 km (18 miles) northwest of downtown Dallas and takes roughly 25 to 40 minutes outside rush hour. Allow 45 to 60 minutes at peak times or after a stadium event, and tell your chauffeur if you are connecting to a meeting with a hard start time.

What is the best way to get from Dallas Love Field to downtown?

Love Field is about 10 km (6 miles) from downtown and the drive is usually 15 to 25 minutes. There is no direct rail line into the terminal; DART's Love Link bus runs to Inwood/Love Field station, where the Green and Orange lines connect. A pre-booked car is the faster door-to-door option.

Can I book a Dallas limo service for a few hours rather than a single transfer?

Yes. Hourly bookings suit multi-stop schedules such as meetings in Uptown, lunch in Las Colinas and an evening in Fort Worth. The booker shows the fare for the hours you choose, and the chauffeur stays with the vehicle between stops.

Is there a Dallas black car service for private jets at Addison or Love Field?

Yes. Give us the aircraft tail number or the FBO name, and the chauffeur meets you at the FBO door rather than at a public terminal. Addison Airport specializes in business aviation, and Love Field handles general aviation as well as airline traffic.

How long should I allow to drive from Dallas to Fort Worth?

Plan on 40 to 60 minutes for the roughly 50 km (32 miles) between the two downtowns, and add time if you travel at 5 p.m. on a weekday or after a game in Arlington. A chauffeur can also use the less congested toll roads when it makes sense.

Do your Dallas chauffeurs handle toll roads?

Yes. North Texas toll roads are operated by NTTA, which says TollTag customers get the best value and non-TollTag customers pay twice as much. Our operators run equipped vehicles, and any tolls are shown in the quote before you confirm.

Can I take a limo from Dallas to Galveston for a cruise?

Yes. The run is about 480 km (300 miles) and typically takes 4.5 to 5 hours, depending on Houston traffic. A Luxury SUV or Sprinter with a clear luggage plan works well, and we can time the departure to your boarding window.

What happens if my DFW flight is late or early?

Pickup follows the real arrival time because the flight is tracked. After an international landing the first hour of waiting is free; after a domestic landing the first 30 minutes are.

Do you offer child seats in Dallas?

Child, toddler and booster seats are provided on request at booking. Mention the ages and weights when you reserve so the local operator can fit the right seat before the chauffeur arrives.
