1. About these terms
These terms apply to every booking made through the LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com website, its online booker or its 24/7 booking desk. By confirming a booking, or by allowing someone to confirm one on your behalf, you accept them. They are a general statement of how our service works, written in plain English. They are not legal advice, and they do not replace any rights you have under the consumer protection law of the place where you live.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com and its booking desk. "You" means the person who books and every passenger traveling under the booking.
2. Who provides the service
LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com books, confirms and invoices each ride. The ride itself is performed by a local chauffeur operator selected from our worldwide directory. Operators are independent, licensed and commercially insured businesses. They are not our employees or agents, and we do not own the vehicles.
We choose the operator, we confirm the booking to you, we send you one invoice and we remain your point of contact for the whole trip. The operator and chauffeur are responsible for driving the vehicle safely and lawfully in the place where the ride happens.
3. Booking and confirmation
A booking is made when you complete the online booker or agree the details with the desk. It becomes a confirmed booking when we send you a written confirmation. The confirmation states the date, the pickup time and place, the destination, the vehicle class, the number of passengers and the fixed fare.
Please check the confirmation as soon as you receive it. Tell us at once if anything is wrong. We rely on the details you provide, including flight numbers, addresses and the number of passengers and bags, and we are not responsible for problems caused by details that were incomplete or incorrect.
Vehicles are offered by class. The exact model is confirmed at booking, and the model named in the class description is an example of what the class includes: "or similar" applies. Stretch limousines, mini-coaches, coaches, Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley vehicles are available on request, and their availability is confirmed at booking.
4. Fares and payment
The online booker quotes a fixed fare for your exact addresses, date, time and vehicle before you confirm. We do not publish a price list. The fare in your confirmation is the fare you pay for the ride described in it.
Extra waiting beyond the included waiting time, stops you add, changes to the route or destination, and other services you request on the day are billed as set out in your confirmation.
You receive one invoice from us, whichever operator performs the ride. Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly. Payment is due as set out in your confirmation or in the terms of your account.
5. Waiting time
Waiting time depends on the type of pickup and is measured from the scheduled pickup time, or, for flights, from the actual landing time:
- International airport arrivals: 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
- Domestic airport arrivals: 30 minutes of free waiting after landing.
- All other pickups: 15 minutes of free waiting from the scheduled pickup time.
On every airport pickup the chauffeur tracks your flight, so an early or late arrival is taken into account. If you are not at the pickup point when the free waiting time ends, the chauffeur will contact the desk, and further waiting is billed as set out in your confirmation. If you cannot be reached and the booking cannot proceed, it may be treated as a no-show.
6. Cancellation and changes
You may cancel a confirmed booking by contacting the desk. The charge depends on how much notice you give, measured from the scheduled pickup time:
| Notice before scheduled pickup | Charge |
|---|---|
| More than 72 hours | No charge |
| 72 hours or less | 10% |
| 48 hours or less | 50% |
| 24 hours or less, or no-show | 100% |
Large events may carry a different deadline, which is stated on your confirmation.
A change to the pickup time counts as a new scheduled pickup time for the purposes of this schedule. We will always try to accommodate a change, but we cannot promise that the same operator or vehicle will be available. If we have to cancel because no suitable operator or vehicle is available, you will not be charged for that booking.
7. No-shows
A booking is a no-show when the passenger does not meet the chauffeur and cannot be reached after the free waiting time, or when the passenger is not at the pickup point and gives no notice. A no-show is charged at 100%. For airport pickups, a no-show is not declared before the free waiting time after landing has ended, and not before we have tried to reach you through the contact details on the booking.
If your flight is cancelled or you miss it, tell us as early as possible. Because we track flights, a delayed landing moves the pickup time and is not treated as a no-show, but a flight that does not arrive that day and is not reported may be.
8. Passenger conduct
Passengers are expected to treat the chauffeur and the vehicle with respect. Please wear a seatbelt where the law requires it, keep luggage clear of the chauffeur's controls and follow the chauffeur's reasonable instructions about safety.
The chauffeur may refuse or end a ride, without refund, if a passenger is abusive, threatens the safety of the chauffeur or others, damages the vehicle or breaks the law in the vehicle. You are responsible for damage or cleaning needed because of a passenger's actions, and the cost will be billed to you.
Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is prohibited in all vehicles. Illegal substances are never permitted.
9. Alcohol and local law
We never promise alcohol on board. Rules on carrying and consuming alcohol in a commercial vehicle vary by country and by city, and local law applies. Where the law allows and the operator agrees, the desk will tell you what can be arranged. Passengers must obey local law at all times, and a ride may be ended if they do not.
10. Children and child seats
Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking. Tell us the age and weight of each child when you book, so that we can arrange a suitable seat. Legal requirements for child restraints vary by country and region. If no seat has been requested, a chauffeur may be unable to carry a child in places where the law requires one.
11. Luggage and lost property
Please tell us the number and size of your bags and any oversized items when you book, so that we can assign a suitable vehicle. Passengers are responsible for their luggage and belongings. If you leave something in a vehicle, contact the desk as soon as possible and we will ask the operator to look for it. Reasonable costs of returning found items are billed to you, and we cannot guarantee that lost items will be found.
12. Delays, traffic and force majeure
We aim for every chauffeur to arrive on time, but traffic, weather, road closures, security incidents, strikes, accidents, public events and other circumstances outside our control can cause delay. Journey times are estimates, not guarantees.
We are not responsible for delay, failure or interruption caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, war, civil unrest, terrorism, epidemics, government action, border or airspace closures, and failures of public infrastructure. If a booking cannot be performed because of such an event, we will work with you on an alternative or cancel without charge where performance is impossible.
13. Our responsibility and its limits
We take reasonable care in selecting operators, and we keep our directory standards under review. Operators carry commercial insurance, and chauffeurs are responsible for driving safely. We are responsible for performing our own part of the service, which is booking, confirming and invoicing, with reasonable care and skill.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of our failure, for loss of business, profit or opportunity, or for losses caused by incorrect information you gave us. Our liability for any one booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking, except where the law does not allow a limit, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence and for fraud. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law.
14. Security and tours
We are a chauffeur service, not a security company. We do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards, and our chauffeurs work alongside a client's own security team where there is one. A chauffeur is not a licensed tour guide. Where a site requires or recommends a licensed guide, you should arrange one, and we can help you do so.
15. Privacy and discretion
We handle the personal information you give us as described in our privacy policy. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips. Non-disclosure agreements are signed on request, and alias bookings are accepted.
16. Corporate and trade accounts
Corporate accounts and trade accounts may be governed by additional written terms, such as credit terms and monthly invoicing, agreed with the account holder. If those terms conflict with these terms, the account terms apply to that account. Official tourist offices, tourism boards, convention and visitor bureaus and visitor centres can book on behalf of their visitors through a trade account, and the account holder is responsible for the booking unless the account terms say otherwise.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any booking made under them are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be dealt with by the courts of Ontario, unless a mandatory rule of law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you confirm a booking is the version that applies to it. If we make a significant change, we will update this page and the date on it.
19. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the desk through the contact page. General answers are in the FAQ, and the about page explains how we work.
