What is an investor roadshow car service?

An investor roadshow car service is a chauffeured ground programme for a management team and its bankers moving between investor meetings in one or more cities. It is built around fixed meeting times, quick door-to-door transfers, a standby vehicle if needed, and strict confidentiality about who is travelling and why.

A roadshow is a sequence of short appointments in different buildings. A chief executive and chief financial officer might meet an institutional investor at 8.30, another at 10.00, lunch with a third, and then fly to the next city that evening. The schedule is the product. A missed meeting is not a delay; it is a lost investor conversation.

LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com books roadshow ground transportation in financial centres worldwide. Our desk operates 24/7, and every ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur operator from our worldwide directory. You get one booking, one confirmation, one invoice and one point of contact, even when the roadshow touches four cities in five days.

The anatomy of a roadshow day

A typical day has a recognisable rhythm, and the car plan follows it.

Three adults crossing a city road at a pedestrian crossing, carrying handbags under a clear sky
Three adults crossing a city road at a pedestrian crossing, carrying handbags under a clear sky
  1. First pickup at the hotel. The team leaves before the morning traffic wave. The vehicle is at the door early and the chauffeur holds the route for the first meeting.
  2. Meeting-to-meeting transfers. Each leg is short in distance but expensive in time: the investor's office tower, the lobby security desk, the lift to the right floor. Plan in "door to desk" minutes, not kilometres.
  3. A working lunch or a gap. The chauffeur waits nearby, so the team can use the car as a quiet room to review materials.
  4. Afternoon meetings. Repeat, with a margin.
  5. Evening departure. To an airport, a private aviation terminal or a railway station, with luggage already loaded.

The most common failure is not a crash or a breakdown. It is an optimistic schedule. We advise on buffers when you send the run of day, and we tell you honestly when a sequence is unrealistic, for example three meetings in three buildings across a city in forty minutes.

Schedule discipline: how we plan against the clock

Work backwards from the last fixed point. If the team has a flight at 19.40 or a call at 17.00, we start there and fit the meetings around it.

Build in the lobby time. Many financial buildings require visitor registration at the front desk. Allow ten to fifteen minutes between arriving at the kerb and being in the meeting room, and tell your chauffeur if a meeting needs earlier drop-off to clear security.

Hold the car, release the car. For a day of back-to-back meetings, an hourly or all-day booking is usually better than separate transfers. See hourly chauffeur service. The chauffeur stays with the team and moves on the moment you step out.

Send updates early. If a meeting runs long, message the chauffeur or the desk. We shift the plan and, where needed, inform the next office.

Backup vehicles: ask for a standby

On a day when one missed leg costs a meeting, a single vehicle is a single point of failure. Ask the desk to plan a standby: a second chauffeur and vehicle booked for the same day and positioned within reach of your route. Whether to book a standby depends on the stakes, the number of passengers and the city, and availability is confirmed at booking.

Standby arrangements also help when the party splits. Two partners from the bank might need to be in different offices, or a junior team member might need to carry materials ahead. A second vehicle covers that without disturbing the principal's car.

Confidentiality: who is travelling is the secret

Roadshow itineraries are sensitive. Whether a company is on the road, which investors it meets and in which cities can all be market-moving information. Our process treats the booking as confidential from the start.

  • Alias bookings. The reservation can be placed under an alias, and the chauffeur's name-board can carry the alias instead of a name or company.
  • NDAs on request. Signed with the chauffeur operator before the programme.
  • Discretion. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and they do not discuss passengers' conversations.
  • Minimum data. Share only what the desk needs: pickup times, addresses, passenger count and luggage. You do not need to tell us the transaction.
  • Not a security company. We do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards. If your team travels with its own security, the chauffeur works alongside them.

City notes for the main roadshow centres

These distances and times are approximate, drawn from airport, transport and published route sources. Check live conditions on the day.

New York

Most meetings sit in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. John F. Kennedy International Airport is about 24 km (15 miles) from Midtown, typically 30 to 60 minutes by car depending on traffic. For private jets, Teterboro, New Jersey is about 12 miles (19 km) from Manhattan, with road times from roughly 25 minutes in light traffic to well over an hour at rush hour. Teams flying private should see private jet car service and the Teterboro page. Between meetings in Manhattan, the car is often not the fastest option for a single short hop, and we will say so: when two offices are a few blocks apart, walking is quicker than waiting for a lift to the street. See the New York limo service page and JFK.

London

Heathrow to the City of London is around 31 to 33 km (19 to 21 miles) by road. Allow roughly an hour at best and up to an hour and a half or more at peak times. Heathrow Express to Paddington takes about 15 minutes from Heathrow Central (terminals 2 and 3), according to the Heathrow Express site, which makes rail the sensible choice for a light-travelling banker alone. Chauffeurs earn their keep with a team, luggage and a multi-stop day. In central London, the Congestion Charge applies 07:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 12:00 to 18:00 at weekends and bank holidays, and the Ultra Low Emission Zone covers all boroughs, as set out by Transport for London. Your chauffeur operator handles compliance. See London chauffeur service and Heathrow.

Frankfurt

The banking district around Taunusanlage is about 11 km (7 miles) from Frankfurt Airport, roughly 20 minutes by road in normal traffic, and the S8 and S9 trains cover it in around 15 minutes. Distances inside the district are short, and the city's towers sit close together. See the Frankfurt chauffeur service and Frankfurt Airport.

Hong Kong

The MTR Airport Express covers the 35.3 km (22 miles) between the airport and the city in as little as 24 minutes, according to MTR, and its Central terminus is in the financial district. By car the same journey is closer to 40 minutes or more, depending on traffic. For a team of four with equipment, a car with door-to-door luggage handling is easier; for a single banker with a carry-on, the train is quicker. See Hong Kong chauffeur service and Hong Kong International Airport.

If a meeting is a short walk from the last one, walk. If the legs are long, the traffic is heavy, the team is carrying materials or the confidentiality of the itinerary matters, an all-day chauffeur is the better tool.

Choosing the vehicle

A black luxury SUV
A black luxury SUV
  • First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar): up to 3 passengers with 2 large and 2 cabin bags. The usual choice for a chief executive and chief financial officer. In Europe and Asia, expect Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class.
  • Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6 or Lyriq or similar): up to 3 passengers, suitable for bankers and advisers.
  • Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar): up to 6 passengers with 5 to 6 large bags. For a full team, with presentation materials and luggage.
  • Executive Sprinter: 12 to 14 passengers, up to 12 bags, for a delegation or a bank's full roadshow party. See Sprinter van with driver.

Exact models are confirmed at booking. Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley are available on request, and availability is confirmed at booking. Most vehicles carry water and phone chargers.

Communication on the day

Send the desk a run of day with each meeting's address, the building entrance if known, the meeting contact and the time. The desk sends the chauffeur details ahead of the pickup. A named contact on your team should be the only person who changes the schedule, so that two people do not send conflicting instructions.

For long roadshows, tell the desk what worked in the first city. Local operators differ, and a note about entrances or lobby procedures helps the next one.

Roadshows by air: from the car to the jet

Many roadshows combine commercial flights with chartered or private aircraft. Our private-aviation coverage can place a chauffeur at the terminal or at the fixed base operator for a pickup. Rules for vehicle access to the aircraft vary by airport and operator, so we confirm before the day. See private aviation and train station transfers for rail legs, such as Eurostar.

Accounts, invoices and cancellation

Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing suit banks and advisers who run several roadshows a year. A single invoice per roadshow, with each city's transfers, makes cost allocation simple. See corporate car service.

Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup time. More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less or no-show: 100%. Roadshow schedules shift, so tell the desk as early as possible; where a schedule has moved rather than been cancelled, tell the desk and we will see what can be rebooked.

Where to go next

Roadshow teams often use the same chauffeur service for the AGM, the conference and the gala. See conference transportation, executive chauffeur service, global chauffeur service and the fleet.

Frequently asked questions

How do I book an investor roadshow car service across several cities?

Send the desk the run of day for each city: dates, hotels, meeting addresses and times, airports and passenger counts. We confirm a local chauffeur operator in each city and send a single confirmation. You keep one point of contact and receive one invoice.

Is it better to book per transfer or for the whole day?

For back-to-back meetings, the whole day is usually simpler: the vehicle stays with the team, and nobody is waiting for a car at 10.58 for an 11.00 meeting. For a few defined legs, such as an airport pickup and a hotel-to-office run, per-transfer bookings work well. The booker quotes both.

Can you keep a roadshow confidential?

Yes. Bookings can be placed under an alias, NDAs are signed on request and chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips. Share only what the desk needs for the logistics.

What if a meeting runs long or is cancelled?

Message the chauffeur or the desk as early as you can. The chauffeur waits or moves on according to your instruction, and the desk adjusts the rest of the day. Where a schedule change affects a later pickup, the cancellation terms are measured from the scheduled pickup time.

Can you provide a backup vehicle?

You can request a standby vehicle and chauffeur for the day, and availability is confirmed at booking. It is most useful when the programme has no slack or when the team may split.

Do you provide security for executives?

No. Ours is a chauffeur service, not a security company: we do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards, and we work alongside a client's own security team.

Which is faster from the airport to the financial district, the train or the car?

It depends on the city. Where a dedicated airport rail link runs into the financial centre, such as Heathrow Express to Paddington or the Airport Express to Hong Kong, rail is often quicker and perfectly sound for a light traveller. A chauffeur is better with luggage, equipment, a team or a tight door-to-door timetable.

Can you meet the team at a private jet terminal?

Yes, where the airport and the fixed base operator allow it. Vehicle access to the aircraft depends on the airport and the operator, so we confirm the arrangement before the day.
