Tampa limo service with a fixed fare and a named chauffeur
Tampa Bay is spread out. The airport is on the west side, the cruise terminals are in the Channelside area, the beaches are across the bay and the theme parks are an hour and a quarter up Interstate 4. A good Tampa limo service is a matter of knowing which door, which bridge and which hour.
LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com runs a 24/7 booking desk. Every Tampa ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur operator from our worldwide directory, and booked, confirmed and invoiced by our desk: one booking, one confirmation, one invoice, one point of contact. Trips inside the United States use US-licensed operators.
What is the best way to book a limo service in Tampa?

Book through the online booker with your pickup address, drop-off address and flight number. It shows the exact fixed fare for your route and vehicle before you confirm. A licensed Tampa chauffeur is assigned, flight tracking starts on airport pickups, and you receive one confirmation and one invoice.
The same desk handles corporate accounts with monthly invoicing, trade accounts for travel agents, DMCs and hotel concierges, and one-off bookings for families and groups. If you need a general overview of how we work in any city, read about chauffeur service worldwide and our limo service standards, then return here for Tampa specifics.
Tampa International Airport (TPA): where your chauffeur meets you
Tampa International Airport, at 4100 George J. Bean Parkway, is about 9 miles (14 km) from downtown Tampa by the airport's own distance list, usually 15 to 25 minutes by road. Baggage claim is on Level 1 of the Main Terminal, split into a Red side on the north and a Blue side on the south, and ground transportation is organized in four quad lots on that same level: Blue 1, Blue 2, Red 1 and Red 2.
For a prearranged pickup, your chauffeur is told which side your airline uses and receives your flight number, so the car is staged before you reach the curb. A name board inside arrivals is available as an add-on. Details of the terminal and curb layout are on the airport's ground transportation page and its arriving passenger guide.
Our general approach to airports is on the airport car service page, and the worldwide list is on the airports hub.
Tampa distances and drive times from the airport

Black car service for business in Tampa
Corporate travel in Tampa clusters in three places. Westshore is the office and hotel district beside the airport, minutes from the terminal. Downtown and the Channel District around the Tampa Convention Center and Water Street Tampa hold the larger hotels, law and finance offices. North of there, Tampa Heights and the Armature Works area on the Hillsborough River have become a dining and meeting destination.

A black car service ride between these districts is short, so most business clients book a block of time rather than single legs. Our hourly chauffeur service covers a day of Westshore meetings, a lunch downtown and a late flight home without re-booking. Executives who want one dedicated car for a week can set up a corporate car service account with monthly invoicing, and our black car service page explains the vehicle classes.
For the day-to-day: Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6 or Lyriq or similar, up to 3 passengers) for two or three people, First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar) for senior guests, and Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar, up to 6) for four or more travelers with golf bags or heavy luggage. See the full fleet.
Port Tampa Bay cruise transfers
Port Tampa Bay lists three cruise terminals, numbered 2, 3 and 6, in the Channelside area, and the port's headquarters is at 1101 Channelside Drive. Which terminal your ship uses depends on the sailing, so the port directs passengers to its cruise schedule and terminal guide. Give your ship name and sailing date at booking and we confirm the terminal on your documents.
From TPA the cruise port is 9.5 miles (15 km) and usually 20 to 30 minutes. Embarkation mornings are the busiest hours at the terminals, so build in a buffer. Combine a hotel night downtown with a morning transfer, or book a cruise transfer from the airport with a bag-drop in between.
Tampa is not the only Florida port within reach. If you are connecting between sailings, see Port Canaveral (about two hours east) and Port Everglades on the Atlantic side.
Private aviation and train arrivals
Tampa International itself has two full-service fixed-base operators, Signature Flight Support and Sheltair, on the airport campus next to International Plaza. Peter O. Knight Airport (TPF) on Davis Islands, operated by Atlas Aviation, is about five minutes from downtown Tampa, the Florida Aquarium and the Tampa Convention Center, which is why it is popular for city-center business trips. Hillsborough County's other reliever airports include Plant City and Tampa Executive.
Our private jet car service puts the chauffeur on the ramp or at the FBO door when the operator permits, with baggage loading handled by your crew or the FBO line staff. Tell us the operator and tail number at booking. The wider private aviation hub covers other US FBO cities, such as Palm Beach.
Tampa Union Station
Tampa Union Station, at 601 N. Nebraska Avenue between downtown and Ybor City, is the Amtrak stop. According to the station's own site, the Floridian connects Tampa with Chicago and Miami, and Thruway motorcoaches link the station to St. Petersburg, Bradenton and Sarasota. The station counter keeps limited hours, so arrivals outside them may need a call to the desk about the pickup point; confirm train status before you travel at Tampa Union Station.
Rail passengers who want a hotel transfer from the station can use our train station transfers service. See the train stations hub for other US and European stations.
Gasparilla, game days and other events
Tampa's best-known street event is Gasparilla. For 2027, the City of Tampa lists the Ashley Children's Gasparilla Parade on January 23, 2027 and the Seminole Hard Rock Gasparilla Pirate Fest parade on January 30, 2027, with more than 300,000 spectators expected and many streets closed (City of Tampa). Parade routes had not been published at the time of writing. Book hotel transfers early, plan to be dropped a few blocks from the venue, and leave a larger time buffer on both sides of the parade.

Raymond James Stadium hosts the Buccaneers and has hosted the Super Bowl, most recently Super Bowl LV in February 2021; see the Super Bowl page. Concerts and hockey nights downtown bring Channel District road closures that your chauffeur plans around. For group moves, use event transportation, and for conventions at the Tampa Convention Center see conference transportation and the conferences hub. Wedding parties will find the wedding limo service page useful.
Busch Gardens and Tampa attractions by private car
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is 16 miles (26 km) from the airport and roughly 30 to 40 minutes in normal traffic. Read our complete visitor guide, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay by chauffeur, for drop-off points, timing and a family itinerary.
Closer in, the Tampa Riverwalk is 2.6 miles (4.2 km) of waterfront path linking the Tampa Bay History Center, The Florida Aquarium and restaurants such as Ulele and the Heights Public Market, according to Visit Tampa Bay. A chauffeur drops you at one end and collects you at the other. Ybor City, the old cigar district, is a short evening drive for dinner. You can browse all US attractions on the attractions hub, and tourist offices can book chauffeur services for their visitors with LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com through a trade account; see the North America tourist offices page.
A chauffeured day on the Gulf side: St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Tarpon Springs
Many first-time visitors want a beach day. A private driver with an SUV makes this simple: leave Tampa mid-morning for St. Petersburg (20 miles, 32 km, 30 to 45 minutes), spend the late morning at the Dalí Museum and the downtown waterfront, then drive north to Clearwater Beach (about 25 miles, 40 km, up to an hour with beach traffic) for the afternoon. Tarpon Springs, 26 miles (42 km) from the airport, adds a Greek sponge-dock lunch on a longer day.
Use private tours with driver to set the order and stops.
Long-distance runs from Tampa

Tampa airport transfer compared with the alternatives
| Option | Typical time to downtown or the cruise port | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taxi (flat fare from the airport) | 15 to 30 minutes | Flat rate posted by the airport | Solo travelers with little luggage |
| Rideshare | 15 to 30 minutes | Surge-priced at peak times | Light bags, flexible timing |
| HART or PSTA bus | Longer; check schedules | Lowest | Budget travelers with time to spare |
| Rental car | 15 to 30 minutes, plus pickup | Metered plus parking | Visitors touring several counties |
| Private chauffeur | 15 to 30 minutes | Fixed fare via the booker | Families, groups, executives, cruise guests |
If you are traveling alone with a carry-on and your hotel is downtown, the airport taxi flat rate or a rideshare is the lower-cost option, and public buses are the lowest cost for patient travelers. A chauffeur earns its place when you have luggage, children, a schedule, a connection or a meeting waiting.
Crossing the bay, hurricanes and local timing
Tampa and St. Petersburg are separated by water, so every trip across it depends on a few crossings: the Howard Frankland Bridge on I-275, the Gandy Bridge, the Courtney Campbell Causeway to Clearwater and the Sunshine Skyway to the south. A single accident on the Howard Frankland can double a cross-bay trip. Chauffeurs watch live traffic and pick the crossing on the day.
Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and summer afternoon thunderstorms can slow the road network for an hour. If an evacuation order or airport closure affects your booking, the desk contacts you with options. Typical Florida considerations apply: heat, sun and humidity, so most vehicles carry water for the journey.
Vehicles, waiting time and cancellation
Executive Sedan, First Class Sedan, Luxury SUV and Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 12 to 14 passengers) are the usual Tampa choices; stretch limousine, mini-coach and coach are available on request, and Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking. Vehicles are late-model, fully maintained and inspected, and most carry water and phone chargers. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request when you book.
Free waiting is 60 minutes after an international landing, 30 minutes after a domestic landing and 15 minutes on other pickups. Cancellation is free with more than 72 hours' notice; 72 hours or less is 10%, 48 hours or less is 50%, and 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events may carry a different deadline, stated on your confirmation.
Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, NDAs can be signed on request, and alias bookings are accepted. We are a chauffeur service and not a security company, so we do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards; we work alongside a client's own security team. Our about page and the FAQ have more.
Frequently asked questions
How far is Tampa International Airport from downtown Tampa?
The airport lists downtown at 9 miles (14 km). The trip normally takes 15 to 25 minutes, longer at rush hour on I-275 and Dale Mabry Highway. The airport's directions page describes the terminal as five miles west of downtown; we use the 9-mile road figure from its ground transportation list.
How far is the cruise port from Tampa airport?
The airport lists the cruise port at 9.5 miles (15 km). Allow 20 to 30 minutes, and more on embarkation mornings when terminal approaches are busy. The terminal, 2, 3 or 6, depends on your sailing.
Where does my chauffeur meet me at TPA?
Prearranged ground transportation uses the four quad lots on Level 1 of the Main Terminal: Blue 1, Blue 2, Red 1 and Red 2. Your chauffeur confirms the exact curb for your airline's side. A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on.
How long does a driver wait if my flight is late?
Flights are tracked, so a delay does not change your pickup. On an international arrival there are 60 minutes of free waiting after landing, on a domestic arrival 30 minutes, and on other pickups 15 minutes.
How far is Tampa from Orlando and Disney World?
Disney World is about 76 miles (122 km) from Tampa International and Orlando International is about 92 miles (148 km), based on the airport's own distance list. Plan 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes depending on I-4 traffic.
Can you take me from Tampa to Miami by car?
Yes. It is about 280 miles (450 km), usually 4 to 4.5 hours on I-75, and one-way and return trips are priced by the booker. Ask for a comfort stop and a Luxury SUV if your group has luggage.
Do you serve St. Petersburg and Clearwater Beach?
Yes. St. Petersburg is about 20 miles (32 km) from TPA and Clearwater Beach 20 to 25 miles (32 to 40 km). The Howard Frankland Bridge and the Courtney Campbell Causeway are the main crossings, and your chauffeur picks the faster one on the day.
Do you offer child seats and group vehicles?
Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking. An Executive Sprinter carries 12 to 14 passengers with 12 bags, and a Luxury SUV carries up to 6 with 5 to 6 large bags.
How do I find the fare?
Enter your addresses in the booker. It shows the exact fixed fare for your trip and vehicle before you confirm, so there are no surprises at the curb. Corporate and trade accounts get monthly invoicing.
