Why does a Los Angeles chauffeur service matter more here than in other cities?
Los Angeles is a spread of freeway-linked districts with no single core, so the same distance can take 20 minutes or 90. A pre-booked chauffeur service gives you a fixed fare, flight tracking at LAX and a driver who knows the 405, 101 and Sunset canyon shortcuts.
Visitors who have only used New York or London tend to underestimate Los Angeles. The city has subway lines and a growing rail network, but the places a business or celebrity client actually goes (a studio lot in Burbank, a dinner in Beverly Hills, a meeting in Century City, a house in Malibu) sit far apart and are linked by freeways that fill up between 3 and 7 p.m. A black car service here is not a luxury add-on. It is how a day with six stops stays on schedule.
This page covers limo service and chauffeur service across Greater Los Angeles: LAX and the private fields, the Port of Los Angeles, the studios, the neighborhoods, the stadiums, the attractions with their own guides, and the long runs to Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Las Vegas.
How booking works
LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com operates a 24/7 booking desk. Every Los Angeles ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur operator drawn from our worldwide directory, and we book, confirm and invoice it, so you have a single confirmation and a single point of contact at any hour. We do not own vehicles in California.

Chauffeurs are experienced professionals. Vehicles are late-model, fully maintained and inspected, never more than four model years old (Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach up to seven). The classes you can choose are Executive Sedan, First Class Sedan, Luxury SUV and Executive Sprinter, with stretch limousine, mini-coach and coach on request; see the fleet page. In Los Angeles, the Luxury SUV is the most requested class for studio and hotel runs because of luggage and tinted rear seating.
LAX: what the meeting point looks like
Los Angeles International (LAX) is about 27 km (17 mi) from Downtown Los Angeles and about 14 km (9 mi) from Santa Monica. Traffic, not distance, controls the time: 30 minutes at an easy hour, 75 minutes or more at the weekday peaks.
LAX moved taxis and app rides to a dedicated lot (LAX-it) in 2019, but the airport's own site says limousines and town cars are unaffected and pick up at the outermost curb on the arrivals level outside baggage claim. The airport also warns that loading zones are for active loading only. For that reason we do not tell chauffeurs to idle at the curb; they hold in an approved area and move up when you are out. Your confirmation gives the exact meeting point, because terminal work changes it from time to time. The LAX ground transportation page lists current airport notices.
On international arrivals we give 60 minutes of free waiting after landing and 30 minutes on domestic flights, and a name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals can be added if you prefer someone at the door. For terminals, customs timing and drive times by district, see the LAX airport page and the airport limo service overview.
| From LAX to | Distance | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Santa Monica | about 14 km (9 mi) | 20 to 45 minutes |
| Beverly Hills and Century City | about 21 km (13 mi) | 30 to 60 minutes |
| SoFi Stadium, Inglewood | about 8 km (5 mi) | 10 to 40 minutes, more on event days |
| Hollywood | about 29 km (18 mi) | 35 to 75 minutes |
| Downtown Los Angeles | about 27 km (17 mi) | 30 to 75 minutes |
| Malibu | about 40 km (25 mi) | 50 to 90 minutes |
Private aviation: Van Nuys and the other fields
Many Los Angeles principals and film-industry travelers land at Van Nuys (VNY) in the San Fernando Valley, roughly 24 km (15 mi) from Beverly Hills and 23 km (14 mi) from Hollywood. The Van Nuys FBO car service page explains how a chauffeur meets you at the FBO. Burbank (the airline airport next to the studios), Santa Monica and Long Beach are used for other trips; our private aviation hub covers the wider network and the private jet car service page explains how handlers and chauffeurs coordinate.
Hollywood, the studios and film-industry logistics
Studio work generates the most precise transport requests in the city. Call times, gate clearances, lot parking lists and drive-on passes mean the driver needs the production's name, the gate and a contact on the day. We handle the booking on our end; you provide the pass details. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, NDAs are signed on request, and alias bookings are available. We are a chauffeur service, not a security company, and we work alongside a client's own security team.

For talent, executives and families, see the VIP and celebrity chauffeur and HNWI family office chauffeur pages. For a series of days in a row, the hourly chauffeur service page explains how a vehicle can stay with you from morning to night.
Neighborhoods and where a chauffeur parks
- Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. Strict curb rules and valet culture; the Rodeo Drive guide covers it.
- Hollywood and West Hollywood. Sunset Boulevard gridlocks at night. See the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Griffith Observatory, which has limited parking and a shuttle-heavy approach.
- Santa Monica and Venice. Beach traffic on weekends; see Santa Monica Pier.
- Brentwood, Bel Air and the Getty. Residential hillsides; see the Getty Center.
- Century City and Downtown. Business towers, hotels and the arena area.
- Burbank, Universal City, Studio City. Studios; see Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Malibu. One coastal road, no shortcuts; see Malibu.
Events, stadiums and awards season
SoFi Stadium in Inglewood hosts the Rams and Chargers and will host Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, which will pull hotel and ground-transport demand forward by months; see Super Bowl transportation. Coachella takes place in the Coachella Valley, around 220 km (137 mi) east of Los Angeles, and is usually held in April; see Coachella transportation for drop-off and wristband zones. The Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, usually take place in early spring, and the Los Angeles area will host the Summer Olympics in July 2028.
Our event transportation hub lists other fixtures, and the conference hub covers trade shows. For multi-vehicle arrivals, the event transportation service page explains the dispatch process, and the conference transportation page covers conventions.
The cruise port at San Pedro
The Port of Los Angeles cruise terminal is in San Pedro, roughly 40 km (25 mi) south of LAX and 35 km (22 mi) south of Downtown. It is a 35 to 60-minute drive on the 110 Harbor Freeway or the 405, depending on traffic. Passengers disembarking should allow extra time for the ship's disembarkation sequence. We do not have a separate port page yet, but the cruise transfers page describes how embarkation and disembarkation pickups work and the cruise ports hub lists related terminals.

Los Angeles attractions with their own guides
- Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, about 55 km (34 mi) from LAX.
- Universal Studios Hollywood, about 35 km (22 mi) from LAX.
- Getty Center, Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
- Santa Monica Pier and Malibu.
- Rodeo Drive for shopping with a chauffeur on call.
The city's official visitor site, Discover Los Angeles, lists events, itineraries and neighborhood guides. Tourist offices and visitor bureaus can book chauffeur services for their visitors with LimousineWorldwideDirectory.com through a trade account; see tourist offices in North America.
How the options compare in Los Angeles
| Option | Best for | Time and cost note |
|---|---|---|
| Metro rail (including the LAX/Metro Transit Center, opened in 2025) | Downtown, Santa Monica and the Expo line with light luggage | Lowest cost; free airport shuttle buses connect the Transit Center to the terminals |
| Taxi | A spontaneous trip with no booking | Metered; waits vary at LAX |
| Rideshare | Short trips from the LAX-it lot | Surge-priced at peaks |
| Rental car | Several days of independent driving | Parking and valet add-ons in Beverly Hills and Hollywood |
| Private chauffeur | Multiple stops, studios, groups, VIPs | Fixed fare via the booker; vehicle waits for you |
If you are flying in with a backpack to a hotel near a rail stop, Metro is the sensible choice. A chauffeur makes sense when you have a schedule, luggage, a dinner reservation across town, or a night when you do not want to drive.
Long-distance runs from Los Angeles

| San Diego | about 190 km (120 mi) | 2 to 3 hours |

Corporate and trade accounts
Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing suit studios, agencies and firms with repeat travel. See the corporate car service page. Trade accounts serve travel agents, DMCs and hotel concierges; see travel trade and hotel concierge bookings. Browse the North America directory or the global chauffeur service page for other cities.
Timing a Los Angeles day around the freeways
A good Los Angeles itinerary is built backward from the hardest leg. The 405 through the Sepulveda Pass between the Westside and the Valley, the 10 across the city and the 101 through Hollywood are the three corridors that decide most schedules. Weekday mornings fill toward the Westside and Downtown; afternoons reverse and stay jammed until after 7 p.m. Friday afternoons start early. Sunday mornings are the quietest window of the week.
When you book, give the desk your first and last appointment of the day and any fixed-time item, such as a studio call, a flight or a reservation. Our operators then suggest a departure that works against a realistic traffic window rather than a map's best case. For all-day programs, the vehicle and chauffeur can stay with you, and the fare is shown in the booker before you confirm. It is the simplest way to stop planning around parking: the driver drops you at the door and holds nearby.
Weather is rarely a factor, but fire closures on canyon roads, wet pavement after the first rain of the season and weekend marathon or festival closures do change routes. We pass those to the chauffeur on the day, not at booking, because they are rarely known earlier.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. Van Nuys is a private aviation field and we meet you at the FBO. The airport is roughly 23 km (14 mi) from Hollywood and the drive takes 30 to 60 minutes.
Do you cover the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium?
Yes. Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Book early; hotels fill and the roads around the stadium close in stages.

Yes. Hourly bookings suit studio days, shopping and multi-stop meetings. Add the start time and expected stops in the booker and the fare shows before you confirm.
Is service available to Disneyland and Universal Studios?
