A Disneyland Paris private tour with driver is a different proposition from the other posts in this series, because the attraction is not a monument to be admired in a morning. It is a resort to be lived in for a day or three, with small children, strollers, souvenirs, a hotel check-in and an airport on either end. The questions a parent actually asks are practical: how long is the drive from the airport, where does the car stop, who carries the bags to the hotel, and what time must we leave on the last day to make a flight.

This guide answers those questions and explains how to get to Disneyland Paris by car from Paris and its airports, how the resort is organized, and how to plan arrival and departure days so the vacation starts calm rather than frazzled.

How far is Disneyland Paris, and how do you get there by car?

Disneyland Paris is about 32 km (20 mi) east of central Paris, 35 to 60 minutes via the A4, and about 30 km (19 mi) from Charles de Gaulle, 25 to 40 minutes. From Orly allow about 55 km (34 mi) and 50 to 80 minutes. The chauffeur drops you at your hotel or the resort drop-off.

The resort sits in Chessy and Coupvray, in the new town of Marne-la-Vallée, at exit 14 of the A4 motorway. Typical times from the usual starting points:

  • Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG): about 30 km (19 mi) via the A104 ring road, 25 to 40 minutes, which makes it the easiest airport for Disney arrivals. The CDG airport page explains how arrivals work.
  • Orly (ORY): about 55 km (34 mi), 50 to 80 minutes via the A86 and the A4.
  • Le Bourget (LBG): about 40 km (25 mi), 35 to 55 minutes; FBO arrangements are on the Le Bourget page.
  • Central Paris hotels: about 32 km (20 mi), 35 to 60 minutes by the A4, and longer on weekday mornings.
  • Gare du Nord: about 38 km (24 mi), 40 to 70 minutes, handy for Eurostar families (station guide).

Our Paris chauffeur service page covers the city end of a resort holiday.

Two parks, a shopping and dining village, and a lot of hotels

The resort has two theme parks. Disneyland Park, with Sleeping Beauty Castle at the heart, is the classic one. The second, which opened as Walt Disney Studios Park, was renamed Disney Adventure World in 2026, according to reports around its relaunch on 29 March 2026. Between the parks sits Disney Village, the dining and entertainment district, and around them are the resort's hotels, and the railway station.

Opening hours and ticket options vary by season and day, and the resort runs seasonal events through autumn and the winter holidays. Look at the official Disneyland Paris site for the calendar and ticket choices, and plan around the park you want rather than a general guide. We do not sell tickets or quote entry fees; the chauffeur takes you to the resort, and the official site is the source for admission.

The A4: why timing matters

The A4 east of Paris is a busy commuter artery. Inbound traffic toward the ring road is slow on weekday mornings, and outbound toward the resort and the new towns is slow on weekday evenings and on Friday afternoons. A journey that takes 35 minutes on a Sunday morning can take well over an hour on a Friday evening, particularly in school holiday weeks.

Two rules of thumb:

  1. From CDG, the route uses the A104 ring road, which avoids the heart of the A4 and tends to be reliable.
  2. From central Paris, avoid the weekday rush hours if you can, particularly the morning inbound peak and the evening outbound peak.

Toll sections apply on parts of the French motorway network. The chauffeur handles them and the fixed fare in the booker is quoted before you confirm. The route to the resort stays on the motorway network east of the city, and the chauffeur knows which approach to use on the day.

Where the car drops you

For a hotel stay, the chauffeur drives to the hotel entrance, unloads the luggage and leaves you to check in. From there, the resort's shuttles, paths and the walkway to the parks handle the rest. For a day visit, the chauffeur uses the resort's drop-off areas close to the parks entrances, then waits elsewhere or returns at your arranged time. Your confirmation names the pickup point, and the desk tells the chauffeur your park-closing time so the return is sensible.

The resort's own parking is paid, with a car park that opens in the morning and closes shortly after the parks, and no overnight stays; check the official site for current details. For visitors who would otherwise drive themselves, a chauffeur removes the parking walk with sleepy children at the end of the day, which is one of the stronger arguments for a booked car.

Child seats, strollers and a family day

Family travel is the main reason people book a private car for this destination. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking; tell the desk the ages and the weights, so the right seats are fitted. Most vehicles carry water and phone chargers, which helps on the return run. A stroller folded flat fits in the boot of most vehicles; if you have a large travel system, a Luxury SUV or a Sprinter is the safer choice.

Capacity matters more than people expect. An Executive Sedan takes up to three passengers with two large and two cabin bags, a Luxury SUV takes up to six with five or six large bags, and a Sprinter carries 12 to 14 with 12 bags. For two families traveling together, the Sprinter is a good fit, or you can book two cars. The exact model is confirmed at booking.

Tickets, hours and the best days

The resort publishes dates, hours and ticket options on its official site, and these change with the season. Opening hours may be shorter in winter and longer in summer, and special events, including autumn and Christmas seasons, can change the calendar. Check the official page for the exact park hours on your date, because the end of the day sets your driver's pickup time.

Weekdays outside French school holidays are quieter than weekends and holiday weeks. If you can pick the day, a Tuesday to Thursday in term time gives shorter queues and a calmer chauffeur schedule. Wednesdays in France are traditionally school half-days, so they can be busier than the rest of the week.

Seasons, special events and school holidays

The resort changes with the calendar. Autumn typically brings a Halloween programme, and the winter season brings Christmas decorations, with the busiest weeks falling around the school holidays when French, British and other European families converge. The official site publishes event dates, so use it rather than a general guide, and book the transfer once your park days are fixed.

Peak weeks affect the road as well as the queues. The A4 and the ring road are heavier on the first and last days of French school holidays, and the resort's hotels fill, which can lengthen the drop-off. If your dates fall on one of those changeovers, add a buffer on both arrival and departure, and consider traveling a day earlier or later. The desk can see the traffic pattern and suggest an adjustment, which is often a better answer than a faster car.

Groups, incentives and trade bookings

Disneyland Paris is also a destination for school tours, family reunions and incentive trips, and those need more than a sedan. For a group of 12 to 14 the Sprinter is the practical vehicle, and larger parties can be split across several vehicles on one booking with a single invoice. Mini-coach and coach options are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking.

Travel agents, destination management companies, hotel concierges and tourist offices can open a trade account with us, which supports monthly invoicing and repeat bookings. Corporate clients can set up an account with monthly invoicing too. If you are organizing a group, send the arrival flights, the hotel, the headcount and the park days in one message at booking, and the desk will build one confirmation with all the pickups, so every vehicle and every flight is tracked in one place.

Accessibility and special needs

The resort publishes information on assistance for guests with disabilities and on rides with restrictions. Tell the desk at booking if anyone uses a wheelchair or has reduced mobility, so the vehicle and the drop point can be planned. A Luxury SUV or Sprinter may be better than a sedan for a folding wheelchair or a mobility scooter, and the desk can note the details for the chauffeur.

Be honest about the lowest-cost option: the RER A runs directly to a station at the park entrance, and for two adults on a day trip from Paris it is excellent value. A chauffeur becomes the better choice with children, with luggage, after a late landing, or when you have a flight to catch at the end.

Planning the arrival and the departure

Arrival day. Land at CDG, meet the chauffeur in arrivals with flight tracking in place, and be at your hotel in about 25 to 40 minutes. International arrivals get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing; domestic get 30. If you want a name board in arrivals, add the meet-and-greet at booking, with an alias for privacy if you prefer.

Departure day. Work backwards from your flight. For a typical international departure from CDG, leave the resort about four hours before the flight to allow for the drive, check-in and security, and add more in school-holiday weeks. If the plan is a last evening in the park, a night-time run to a CDG hotel is simpler than an early-morning dash.

A Paris extension. Many families add a day in the city. The Eiffel Tower is about 40 km (25 mi) from the resort, 45 to 75 minutes, and the Louvre is about 38 km (24 mi). For a more peaceful day outside Paris, Giverny and the Palace of Versailles are in the other direction, so plan them from Paris rather than from the resort. The private tours with driver page explains how a day away from the resort is arranged.

Booking the resort run

Send the desk the whole itinerary in one message: arrival flights, hotel, number of adults and children, bags, and the day you leave. We build one confirmation covering every leg. The drivers are licensed, commercially insured professionals from local operators in our worldwide directory, and our worldwide desk is staffed around the clock if a flight changes. Flight tracking follows every airport pickup, and the free waiting window depends on whether the arrival is international or domestic. Vehicle choice follows the family: a sedan for up to three, a Luxury SUV for up to six, a Sprinter for two families together. Seats for babies, toddlers and boosters are added on request. The fixed fare appears in the booker before you pay. See the fleet page and the Europe directory. For airport information, Paris Aéroport lists terminals and services, Visit Paris Region lists events across the region, and tourism offices can ask about trade accounts on the tourist offices page.

Can you provide child seats?

Yes. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking. Tell us ages and weights so the right seats are fitted.
